"We're not performing topiary. Stop cutting the leaves and lop off the fruit."
—Zygmunt Budge chides a Hogwarts student on their inaccurate cutting[src]

Topiary is the practise of trimming live plants in such a way that they form into a defined shape. When attempting to cut off fruit from a Shrivelfig, a certain Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry student accidentally cut off some of the plant's leaves instead, causing Zygmunt Budge to note that topiary was not the intended goal and remind them to focus on the fruit.[1]
