This rowboat was borrowed by Vernon Dursley from a toothless old man. It was an old rowboat with no protection from the elements. Vernon used it to row the Dursley family and Harry Potter to the Hut-on-the-Rock in the summer of 1991 while taking them on the run from wizards.^[1]

The next morning, Rubeus Hagrid took over the boat and, with the aid of magic, used it to take him and Harry Potter to the harbour, leaving the Dursleys to find other arrangements to get home.^[2]
