Thomson & Nephew Ltd. was a clock company based in London. One of their clocks hung in King's Cross Station, which Harry Potter and Ron Weasley used to check the time on 1 September, 1992, when they were unable to pass through the barrier to Platform 9 & 3/4 and wanted to know if they had missed scheduled time of departure of the Hogwarts Express.
