Third Hand Book Emporium[1] was a large used bookshop on Charing Cross Road in London. Located next door to the Leaky Cauldron,[2] it specialised in old and rare books, including first editions, and maps.[1]

- The name of this store is not given in the books. It is only revealed in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
- In Robert Galbraith's The Silkworm, lead character Cormoran Strike goes into a second-hand bookshop in Charing Cross Road and buys a "battered hardback" from the author whose disappearance he is investigating.
