There was an empty classroom on the Gunhilda of Gorsemoor Corridor at Hogwarts Castle. This classroom was located to the left of the statue of Gunhilda of Gorsemoor. It was in this room that Fred and George Weasley presented Harry Potter with the Marauder's Map in the winter of 1993.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

• The place where Fred and George give Harry the Marauder's Map changes from book to film adaptation to video game version. In the film adaptation this happens on the Clock Tower staircase and in the video game version, this happens in a secret room off Fred and George Weasley's Shop (PS2 version) or in the Portrait Room (PC version). In the GBA version, the Marauder's Map subplot is ommitted altogether.
