The Whomping Willows are a Wizard rock band, inspired by the Harry Potter book series by J. K. Rowling. The band's name is a reference to the Whomping Willow, the giant physically abusive tree that stands on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and attacks and attempts to kill anything that touches it.
