These letters were responses to "Harry Potter Speaks Out At Last: The Truth About He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named And The Night I Saw Him Return," which was an article written by Rita Skeeter and published for The Quibbler.

Read by Ron Weasley, who summarised the contents as the writer thinking "Harry was off his rocker"[1]

Letter three

Read by Harry, this letter was written by a "witch in Paisley"[1] and was the first one who wrote that she believed Harry's account.

Read by Fred Weasley, who thought the letter was "a waste of parchment" as the writer "was of two minds" said that Harry didn't "come across as a mad person, but he really doesn't want to believe You-Know-Who's back so he doesn't know what to think now."

"Having read your side of the story, I am forced to the conclusion that the Daily Prophet has treated you very unfairly… little though I want to think that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has returned, I am forced to accept that you are telling the truth…"
