"The properties… of moonstone… and its uses… in potion-making…. So, what are the properties of moonstone and its uses in potion-making?"
Ronald Weasley to Hermione Granger[src]

Professor Severus Snape assigned his fifth-year students in 1995 a twelve-inch long essay on the properties of moonstones in Potion-making.[1] Using Magical Drafts and Potions as reference book, Harry Potter's essay was deemed "acceptable" by Snape.[2]
