The Medieval Assembly of European Wizards is a European wizarding organisation. It occasionally awards a "Bravery Against Fantastic Beasts Award". Gilderoy Lockhart received such an award. In the 1992-1993 school year at Hogwarts School, Professor Cuthbert Binns ordered his Second Year students to write a 90 centimetre long essay about this organisation.
