The Hogwarts choir was a singing group conducted by Professor Filius Flitwick. They usually practice in the Great Hall.
[edit] History
In 1993, they performed the song Something Wicked This Way Comes at the Welcoming Feast (in which they were holding very large toads as they sang).
At the 1994 Triwizard Tournament, which was held at Hogwarts, the Choir performed some melodies before each Triwizard Task, such as the Hogwarts March, as well as playing some waltz music for the traditional Yule Ball.
In 1995, the Choir was submitted to inspection by Hogwarts High Inquisitor Dolores Umbridge, because of Educational Decree Number 24.
One evening in 1997, the choir sang In Noctem in the Great Hall, just before the unexpected death of Albus Dumbledore.
The Choir's number of members has dropped considerably since 1993.
[edit] Behind the scenes
- In the video game version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and the video game version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for GBC there is one Muggle Music Classroom featured on the Fifth Floor of Hogwarts. It could be a possible place for the Choir to practice.
