The Dark Arts Outsmarted was a book about defensive magic and how to protect oneself from the Dark Arts.[1]
History[]
This book was one of the hundreds of books that the Room of Requirement supplied for Dumbledore's Army in their first gathering there. Seeing this and other such books helped convince Hermione Granger that she and the others were doing the right thing by participating in the group.[1]
There was also a copy of this book on the shelves of Severus Snape's home in Spinner's End.[2]
