Tergeo is a spell used to siphon off blood, dust, grease and probably many other things. It is similar to the Scouring Charm.
Uses
- Hermione Granger used this spell to remove the dried blood off of Harry Potter's face in 1996.
- Ron Weasley used this spell to siphon grease off of a handkerchief for Hermione Granger in 1997.
- Harry Potter used this spell to remove the dust from photographs while at Bathilda Bagshot's cottage in 1997.
Etymology
In Latin the verb Tergere means "to rub off, wipe off, wipe dry, wipe clean, cleanse".
