Back to template
To protect or to not protect, that shall be my question. The Chosen One (Choose me!) 10:55, 1 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- The wiki which I got the idea from has the template protected, but I don't think any newbies will stumble across the template and add their own test edit. If that does happen, though, you should probably protect. «Rainer» 06:07, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Is there any reason why this template has such a long name? I know meomory-alpha uses {{welcome}}. Why not change it to something simpler? --User:66.215.12.24 17:33, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Seriously. We should be subst'ing it anyway, so the fewer characters to type in, the better. We already have {{welcome}}, but we could rename it to {{welcome-anon}}. And yes, I had to go create {{tl}} so I could do that. :-) Hermione1980 20:40, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
If we already have {{welcome}}, then this seems a bit redundant to me. . . . --User:66.215.12.24 01:09, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
The reason why this page name is so long is because it is used at Harry Potter Wiki:Introduction. This is so when newbies edit the page, they leave the template alone instead of deleting it when making a test edit. «Rainer» 05:20, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
