• December 19, 2007': New cast members for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film) are announced: Cormac McLaggen (Freddie Stroma), Blaise Zabini (Louis Cordice), Romilda Vane (Anna Shaffer), Katie Bell (Georgina Leonidas), Leanne (Isabella Laughland), and Marcus Belby (Robert Knox).[2]

• November 17, 2007: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Frank Dillane are announced as playing Tom Marvolo Riddle, at the ages of nine and sixteen respectively, in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.[3]

The title for the seventh book in the Harry Potter series was announced December 21, 2006 by Bloomsbury Publishing and on J. K. Rowling's website, in the form of a game of hangman. She has stated this will definitely be the final book as she enters her seventeenth year of writing the series.
