The tarantula hawk, also known as the tarantula hawk wasp, is a type of wasp so named because it hunts tarantulas.[1] They have a poisonous and extremely painful sting. Hogwarts Castle had an infestation of these bugs during the 1992-1993[2] and 1993-1994 school years.
Behind the scenes
- Real world tarantula hawks are not poisonous as they are portrayed in the game. It is possible, however, that these are a magical strain of the wasp.
