The Yule Ball takes place and Christmas Eve night and not on Christmas Day i have changed this on the Article Page--Hogwarts09 09:01, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

In the movie, his dance parter was Minerva McGonagall. In the novel, he had several dance partners : Olympe Maxime and Pomona Sprout. I don't think adults had really dates for the Yule Ball, they just danced together.((so it's possible he danced too with Minerva)).
