Good job with finding a full version of the portrait, Seth. I'm guessing that the last name is Mablethorpe, Maplethorpe, or Mapplethorpe, as I don't think Manlethorpe is an actual surname, unless it's something they made up. Can you you see the names clearer in the actual game? ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 00:29, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, no. The lettering on this individual's portraits is small and a bit blurry, even on the game. -- Seth Cooper owl post! 00:35, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Also, on your suggestions, I would deem the ones with "p"s incorrect. As you can see on the portrait, the "p"'s "leg" goes lower than all the other letters, and you can clearly see that there's no "leg" below the first few letters. -- Seth Cooper owl post! 00:40, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- I was about to point this out. For comparison we can see what the "leg" of a "p" looks like on "-thorpe." I guess that leaves Mablethorpe. ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 00:49, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think it's Mablethorpe. If the letter before l was a b, then there should be a line that's higher than the rest-at least as high as the l. But there isn't. There is a large chance that the name was made up, and I think the current Manlethorpe is closer to what it says on the image. QuidditchLover(My talk)(contribs) 01:00, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Manthorpe is a UK place name. If you couldn't clearly see the le before -thorpe in this image, I'd suggest it was that instead. ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 01:27, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
What source do we have that says his name is Misslethorpe?? --Danniesen 19:44, April 1, 2012 (Denmark)
