Where is it mentioned in canon that the Elder Wand has a Thestral hair core? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs) 15:29, September 3, 2009.

Grindelwald not the true master of the Elder Wand?

The text says: "(Gellert Grindelwald for example, but could have been to the fact that the wand didn't truly accept him as the master since he stole the wand rather then disarming it)". It doesn't make any sense, if Grindelwald wasn't the true master of the Elder Wand, then Dumbledore wouldn't be its true master neither, neither Malfoy (who disarmed Dumbledore), and neither Harry. So Voldemort's Avada Kedavra shouldn't have rebounded when he tried to kill Harry at the end of Deathly Hallows. Besides, if the wand wasn't Grindelwald's, Gregorovich still was its true master, and Voldemort killed Gregorovich, so the wand should answer to Voldemort, and Harry should have died... So, probably the wand accepted Grindelwald as its true master. --f23456ar (talk) 08:13, January 17, 2014 (UTC)
