Suzukis in the UK

There are Suzukis all over the place. For example, David Takayoshi Suzuki was a young boy when his family was stripped of all their belongings and interned during WWII in Canada, which was especially hard because, as a third generation Canadian, he could only speak English. In 2004 he came in 5th on the list of Greatest Canadians. David Suzuki was a long time host of The Nature of Things and a noted environmentalist [1].

That said, it is possible for Natsumi to attend Hogwarts and be sorted into Hufflepuff without actually being a resident of the UK. (Vaudree (talk) 10:07, November 9, 2015 (UTC))

The Quill of Acceptance only rrecords magical bitzhs in GB and Ireland, so Natsumi must have been born there.--Rodolphus (talk) 12:06, November 9, 2015 (UTC)

Lucius was thinking of sending Draco to Durmstrang, so it is possible to be born in one jurisdiction and attend school in another jurisdiction - especially if said school is a boarding school. It is also possible to live in the UK and have a cousin living in Japan. So either one Suzuki grew up in the UK and the other Suzuki grew up in Japan or they both grew up in Japan and the family decided to send one of them abroad for schooling. The thing is that one can't say for sure which it is. (Vaudree (talk) 10:30, November 22, 2015 (UTC))

Rowling specially said that Hogwarts only accepts students from GB and Ireland, and only those recorded in the book of acceptance. It is indeed the case that Durmstrang accepts students from other countries. Hogwarts, however, does not. --Rodolphus (talk) 12:13, November 22, 2015 (UTC)
