Anyone know if the newest DH TV spot is online? I can't find it on MuggleNet, but I'm not sure-- anyway, it has a clip of the scene of the trio getting dragged off to the Malfoy Manor by Snatchers. Scabior says, "what happened to you ugly?" and Fenrir Greyback and Harry both look over-- it seems like it would make for a good still of a full-on shot of Harry's hexed face. --Emmy (★) 13:10, October 26, 2010 (UTC)
The title of this page makes no sense to me. It may be different in the books, I don't really remember as I haven't read them in awhile, but I know for a fact that the term used in the film was "Stinging jinx", so why is the page called a hex? -- ImperiexSeed, 9:13 PM, August 15th 2011
If you know for sure, then it would really help if you could prove it with a reference (e.g. a youtube clip or something) though I seem to remember hex from the movies. Also, even if you don't take deathly hallows into consideration at all, the stinging hex was mentioned in OotP anyway. Therefore, they are both canon, we know that much—Green Zubat (owl me!). 02:04, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for that! But if they're both truly canon, than what should the page go by, and what's to say one name's better than the other? I'm officially stumped. Well actually, stuff from the actual text (the books) should be considered to be more canonical than a website. -- ImperiexSeed, 10:13 PM, August 15th 2011
In chapter 23 of Deathly Hallows, Malfoy Manor, it says,
"'That wans't us.'
'Looks more like a Stinging Jinx to me,' said Lucius."
And then in Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Bellatrix says, 'Or ran into a Stinging Jinx... was it you, dear?' The video to this can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbY4ojkqZxc She says it at around 1:36. AlastorMoody 09:51, March 6, 2012 (UTC)
