Prison Wand?
Edit
It says that Black got the runes engraved on his wand while in Azkaban. However, inmates of Azkaban have their wands taken from them upon arrival, or before. As well, Sirius uses this wand after his escape from Azkaban, when he shouldn't have had access to it. Which brings to mind this theory: could this wand have been created by Sirius, or another skilled wizard, in the prison itself, something the like of a prison shiv for wizards? Just a thought. - Sirius Black could not have been born on June 18, because he was born in 1959 as the Black Family Tree states. To be able to go to Hogwarts during 1971-1978 he would have been born between September first and December thirty-first. Being that J.K. Rowling said he was 'around twenty-two' when he was imprisoned, leads me to assume he was not yet twenty-two, so he would have been born after October 31st, the day Lily and James were killed, further narrowing the possible dates to between November and December. My guess would be that he was born early to mid-November, making his wand a Reed wand, if you were to use the Celtic chart, or possibly an Elder wand if he was born late November-December. 76.20.153.162 22:28, December 21, 2011 (UTC)Kosaka
- 18 June is when he died - I'm not sure where this item about him being born then comes from. I'll remove it from the page. ProfessorTofty 22:34, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
Resemblence to Sybill's wand
Edit
I hardly think that the same shape is warrenting of mentioning any sort of similarity. Any thoughts on the matter? 75.54.91.118 23:34, February 26, 2012 (UTC) Guest
There is a resemblence in the length and color. Also, the line that spirals around the wand is similar on both. Shadow Seer 00:46, February 27, 2012 (UTC)Shadow Seer
The fourth item in the "Behind the scenes" section is far too convoluted for me to begin to untangle. Can anyone decipher it? Jiskran (talk) 00:00, June 30, 2012 (UTC)
Wand length
Edit
The length of 15 inches apparently originates from the prop manufactured by Noble Collection. Is this considered a legitimate source for this information? ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:44, June 30, 2012 (UTC)
