Effect[]

In Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Year 6, Chapter 35 (Infiltrating 'R') - Potions Lesson "Scintillation Solution", it is mentioned that the potion can make objects shine brilliantly, but it does not explain much else about what the potion is used for. Merula even says she is uncertain about what its purpose is. In Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, it is user to gain energy points; should this be written from an in-universe style as an effect (i.e., restoring energy)? Theoretically, yes, until more information from canon is available, the ability to restore energy should be treated as a fact, though the word "scintillation" does not really imply anything of the sort. The simplified Chinese translation of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets translated it as "闪烁魔药", which could mean "potion that twinkles" or "potion of twinkling", though the editors over at the Chinese HPW argued that it might not be accurate and translated it as "才华药剂", which means "potion of talents/wits" and was carried over into Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, so it seems this whole aspect of the potion being able to enhance the drinker's cognitive or magical abilities originated from the fandom rather than canon. I disagree with the above. The effect Harry Potter: Magic Awakened never happens in-universe, which is to say, in a cutscene, it's only ever seen in the as part of the game mechanics. I suggest we relegated to a mention in the BTS section. It's only used in those game. It's sort of like how "spell cards" are depicted in duels to be needed to cast spells: It's there for the sake of gameplay, but it's not canon. I would've stuck to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery in this case. WeaseleyIsOurKing89 (talk) 14:42, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
