Shall we deletee it? A Pekinese is simply a breed of Muggle dog. Not magical at all.--Rodolphus 16:35, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
There still mentioned in the seiries. Jayce Carver Talk 17:29, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
I think we should move this article to "Pekingese" because there is no such dog as a "Pekinese." Maybe Hagrid says it that way, but most of society doesn't.--Timbira 15:35, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- "Pekinese" is an alternative spelling of the dog breed, thus it would still be acceptable if that is how it's spelled in HBP. However, in my copy, it's spelled "Pekingese". Is there a difference between the American/British publications? Oread (talk) 16:07, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm so sorry, but could you please find the page it's on so I can look it up? I know what chapter it is(After the Burial).--Timbira 16:32, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry; I'm looking at a pdf version, it has no page numbers. The line is close to the end of the chapter, though. Oread (talk) 16:40, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I'll check.--Timbira 16:44, 3 May 2009 (UTC) In my copy of HBP, on page 486, Hagrid says, " 'Bout the size of a Pekingese." If you want, I could move this article to Pekingese, or we could keep it at Pekinese.--Timbira 16:51, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Mine says Pekinese. I have the British Bloomsbury version. Jayce Carver

Okay, I have the American Arthur A. Levine/Scholastic version. There's just a difference between the British and American versions.--Timbira 17:00, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
I think we have a rule here that says British spelling wins out, don't we? Jayce Carver ![]()
