It seems 126.96.36.199 anonymous user refuse that my edit be added and keeps deleting it. It read thus:
Owls are able to find any wizard, wherever he may be, to deliver his mail. In the Goblet of Fire, Harry sends many letters to Sirius Black, even while the Ministry of Magic is unable to hunt him. It is unclear why they can do it, and why no Wizard can follow them to their quarry.
I didn't read all books three times, but I think all that was a fact, which is why this wiki was made: to make everyone contribute with facts about the Harry Potter universe. --Conteur 11:50, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
- A) That paragraph as is violates our in-universe policy, which states that all content outside the "Behind the scenes" and similar sections is to be written in a in-universe perspective, and thus not mention the books.
- B) The article already states this in a much more succinct manner. See the second paragraph of the section "Postal workers". -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 17:30, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
Is there a source for owls having a M.O.M. Classification of XX? As far as I'm aware, such classifications are only listed in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which doesn't list owls. -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 17:06, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
- I too would like to know where this XX classification comes from. ProfessorTofty (talk) 04:33, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
Owl species Edit
There are a number of species listed here that are never mentioned in canon. Anyone else in favour of trimming the article to only those species listed in canon? ProfessorTofty (talk) 04:33, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
