Subject of book[]

Law & Order has been on the air since 1990. This means that, from a timeline standpoint, a book about the show could exist in the HP universe. However, as far as we know, most wizards and witches do not watch television. Muggle-borns, in addition to half-bloods raised in households with at least one Muggle, will grow up watching TV (as long as their family owns one), and may continue to do so after assimilating into the wizarding world. But it doesn't seem like there would be enough of a market to warrant publishing a complete guide to any television programme especially for magical readers. Any witch or wizard who was interested in, say, Dr. Who, could simply find/special order a book about it at a Muggle bookstore.

I think it's more likely this book is about Muggle laws and their enforcement (see the Wiktionary definition of "law and order"). Starstuff (Owl me!) 21:21, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

I agree. This is far more likely a usage of the expression rather than a reference to the TV show. Unless there's more compelling support to the connection than just the name, it should be removed. - Nick O'Demus 22:07, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
