I think that this article should be merged with Death Eaters. Dumblydoor 20:31, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

I have to disagree because the two are different. The gang would BECOME death eaters. Prior to that they were just a schoolyard gang of wizards with dark intentions. Mafalda Hopkirk 15:45, 17 February 2008 (EST)

Who will play members of Tom's gang?? Lestrange?? Rosier??? Avery?? Mulciber??

Alphard[]

Should Alphard Black be listed as a possible member? He first arried at Hogwarts sometime between 1925 and 1936 and graduated from 1943 to 1956. Riddle was at the school from 1931-44. Also Alphard's anti-pure-blood-supremacy attitude makes it unlikely he personally, was associated with the predecessors to the Death Eaters. -Happychickenvermin

Removed. I also removed Abraxas Malfoy under similar reasoning, there's no evidence he supported the Death Eaters or their predecessors just because his son did. -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 14:54, May 5, 2013 (UTC)

Tom Marvolo Riddle's gang[]

Is it alright to label it as such?

P.S. Sorry for having gone ahead. Revert back if I am wrong.

Walpurgis Night[]

It's also interesting to note that Walpurgis Night refers to Saint Walpurga. According to several articles online (which quote the same line, verbatim - I wasn't able to identify the original source material yet), she was "hailed by the Christians of Germany for battling "pest [...]", among other things. As a group whose members were obsessed with blood purity and considered muggle-borns as nothing better than pests to be eradicated, the choice is fitting.

A side note: when I said "other things" earlier, one of those is said to be witchcraft. Traditionally people ward off witches, and generally, evil with bonfires on Walpurgis Night :) Oh, the irony...
