Kevin and Kevin Hopwood

So, in Goblet of Fire we are introduced to Kevin, a two-year old boy who was attending the Quidditch World Cup and displayed much interest in a slug being burst open and shooting gunk everywhere. On Pottermore we meet Kevin Hopwood, the 2014 Gobstones World Champion. Gobstones is a game in which the pieces shoot gunk at losing players, as we all know. Kevin would be twenty-two in 2014 (seventeen being the adult age for wizards), and both Kevins displayed interest in goo being squirted at people; I think it is likely that Kevin is Kevin Hopwood. --Hunnie Bunn (talk) 13:08, May 4, 2014 (UTC)

The Kevin in Goblet of Fire is never shown to have an particular interest in goo; he took his father's wand and started to enlarge a slug, and was upset at his mother when she stepped on it. Besides, the book does not mention the burst slug shooting gunk everywhere, it just says it burst with no reference to any particular kind of mess.
I personally don't think the connection is really quite there, which isn't to say he isn't Kevin Hopwood (which, by the way, was Gobstones World Champion in 2013, not 2014; that piece of Pottermore info came out last year). --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 17:36, May 4, 2014 (UTC)
