Same as Broom-jinx?

The description deployed here comes from the Quirell incident, yet the body of the piece points out that the non-verbal he was casting was a jinx, not a hex. Is this not an inconsistency? Jiskran (talk) 06:58, June 28, 2012 (UTC)

This is not nessesarily correct. It was only stated by Hermione Granger that it was a Jinx. She probably didn't have time to specify it and just said the first that came through her mind. It is possible that it is a hex, as much as it could be a curse, a jinx, a charm, or a simple spell. ----109.57.136.23 15:51, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
But as the one cast in the book matches description with the Hurling Hex, it is clear that they are the same. I am going to move around in the text. ----109.57.136.23 16:04, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
Furthermore the text in the article also says In 1993, Filius Flitwick suggested that Harry Potter's confiscated Firebolt might have been jinxed with this spell. Remark that it says jinxed with this spell despite it's a 'Hex'. ----109.57.136.23 16:42, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
And I've reverted your edits. We don't even conclusively know what this spell does. While it is very likely, there's no proof that the two spells are the same, and thus this wiki will continue to treat them as different spells. -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 16:48, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
