I wasn't sure if I should change it because its been changed and reverted alot, but the description in the book is far better at describing the exact makeup of the hippogriff.

"They had the bodies, hind legs and tails of horses, but the front legs, wings, and heads of what seemed to be giant eagles, with cruel, steel-colored beaks and large, brilliantly, orange eyes. The talons on their front legs were half a foot long and deadly looking."

• In that case I changed that sentence a little (after you deleted it) and earsed the whole "Encounters with hippogriff" section, as this was all about Buckbeak, and should be put in the Buckbeak article proper.
