Spelling[]

Shouldn't this be "Hiccoughing" Solution? Mafalda Hopkirk 17:37, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

No, 'cos we hiccup in England. Is hiccough an American expression? And I checked the spelling as well. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 21:26, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Nope, not an American expression.-Matoro183 (Talk) 21:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
No... i thought it was British... Mafalda Hopkirk 22:27, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

It should be Hiccouhing Solution because thats what it says in the bloomsbury version of HPB —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 123.236.21.100 (talkcontribs) 11:29, 8 August 2009.

It's "Hiccoughing Solution" in the Raincoast edition as well. The Canadian editions are identical to the British editions in terms of text, so even if "hiccough" isn't a spelling generally used in Britain, it's the one that's used in the British editions of the book. Effect[]

Couldn't it also cure hiccoughs? Rabbitty (talk) 03:57, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

Slughorn's request for an "amusing" potion makes causing hiccoughs the more likely effect, I would think. -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 04:42, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
