- The evidence given to support the "pure-blood or half-blood" claim was that Montague's parents came to Hogwarts, and since the castle is under anti-Muggle protections, they must therefore have been a witch and wizard. But we know that Moaning Myrtle was Muggle-born, and that her parents went to Hogwarts shortly after her death, so clearly Muggles can go to Hogwarts in certain circumstances, despite the anti-Muggle protections.
- There are Muggle-born Slytherins, but they are very uncommon, based on Scabior's remark in Ch. 23 of Deathly Hallows. However, I personally think it's very unlikely that Montague was Muggle-born, because he ran with Draco's crowd. But his blood status is never stated anywhere in the series, and, to my knowledge, there is nothing to infer it from (i.e., attending Hogwarts during the 1997-1998 school year, mother having a wand, someone with the same surname working at the Ministry). Thus we have no basis for including any reference to blood status in the infobox. ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 15:26, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Montague in the 5th film?
On a french encyclopedia, I found Montague is the guy, to the right of Flich, on this photo. Moreover, Warrington seems to be the blond guy, between Drago and Goyle. Can we add a photo for them or not ? Lady Junky (talk) 06:55, August 27, 2012 (UTC)
Vanishing Cabinet incident
Montague was in the limbo while he was inside the cabinet, but he managed to apparate, but is strange that he could apparate inside Howarts, as he ended up lodged inside a toilet on the fourth floor. How was that possible? An error from JKR?
- PS. This should be added to the Apparition, Behind the scenes section. Silver (Discusión) 01:50, December 26, 2012 (UTC).
Wouldn't Montague have been born c. 1980-81 instead? He was on the Slytherin Quidditch team in the 1993–1994 school year so he can't have been born in 1982.
As a side note: I always believed Montague to be around Cassius Warrington's age. I guess I'm not guaranteed right then. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:22, June 27, 2015 (UTC)
