Separate articles?[]
What do you think about creating separate articles and a category for the different vaults once the game has been extended? We could even create an article on the fifth floor vault already.--Rodolphus (talk) 18:31, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
- I'd say there should be one collective page for the "Cursed Vaults", and individual pages for specific vaults with links to extended articles for each vault listed on the page. Ninclow (talk) 18:51, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
- I concur. I'm assuming the current two known vaults' articles should be title Vault of Ice and Vault of Fear? That's what the official chapter titles are called, without the "the." --Sammm✦✧(talk) 22:29, May 29, 2018 (UTC)

Mention in Chamber of Secrets[]
So I watched a re-run of the 3rd anniversary developer Q&A livestream of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery (https://www.instagram.com/tv/COGcwDDpKrw/, 16:50), and James Phelps just said [one of the] Cursed Vaults (most likely the Vault of Ice because that's the one Bill helps break into) is the one Bill mentions in the books (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets?) and the developers didn't deny it (the one from the art team (bottom right) thought for a while and then nodded). So... is this enough evidence to confirm the mention? MalchonC (talk) 16:32, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
I checked the book, and I found this:
"You know, it rings a sort of bell,” said Ron slowly. “I think someone told me a story about a secret chamber at Hogwarts once… might’ve been Bill…”
This could be a mention to the Cursed Vault, but I think considering the fact that they are discussing the Chamber of Secrets, this is definitely purely a reference to the Chamber of Secrets, not any of the Cursed Vaults, since only the singular is used, and not the plural. I can't say for certain, but since the Cursed Vaults are a new very creation, I'm not sure even the idea for them existed in the early days of the series. - From the creation point of view, I'd say it's very unlikely that the concept of Cursed Vaults existed when Chamber of Secrets was being written, but that doesn't mean this can't be a retcon. But yeah, now I remember that Bill breaks into the Buried Vault and maybe others (if the player chooses him) too, so it does seem to not fit with the singular wording. - The Cursed Vaults were definitively not conceived of when the second book was published, but assuming the people behind the game has read the books, one or more of them might have latched onto what Ron said and asked themselves "What if that was a different chamber? Hmmm...", and then made that canon through the game. I mean, the existence of R seems to echo the Rotfang Conspiracy mentioned in passing by Luna in the sixth book, so from an in-universe perspective, why not? As for the singular wording, perhaps Bill only told him about their misadventure with a specific vault, for instance? Tfoc (talk) 18:33, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
- Or Ron misremembered, especially if Bill told him when he was very young, like a bedtime story and he didn't really pay attention. The way Ron says it in the book does indicate he doesn't remember it clearly. Anyway, I think it's safe to add Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as a possible mention, if not confirmed mention.
