Does anyone know what this word is on the bottom right of the picture, "1931-The Joseph Wronski award for ???? skills"? Marktheseeker 17:25, June 9, 2011 (UTC)

I think it's "excellent pitch skills."

On the bottom ot the first image can anybody see what is written between, 'The Chudley Cannons Fan Club' and 'Chudley England (owl post please)'?

Is it 'Hippus 249'?Marktheseeker 22:24, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

  • The team is likely to be an allusion to the Premier League Football team, Liverpool, who have a devoted fanbase, dominated the league for a long period, amassing the second most titles out of anyone (18), in 1989 before failing to win it again. This is further illustrated by the date of their last league title in 1892, Liverpool's founding.

These sort of statements keep popping up. First it was the Cubs baseball team I think and here's Liverpool football team. Liverpool probably aren't the inspiration behind the Cannons as they regurlarly finish in the top five of the league. It's too much of an opinionated topic as to a certain team inspiring the creation of the Canons, so I think it may be ensible to stop putting our own guesses on the page.
