Would a female head of the Wizengamot be known as Chief Witch?

This troubled planet is a place of the most violent contrasts. Those who receive the rewards are totally separated from those who shoulder the burdens. It is not a wise leadership.-Spock, the Cloud Minders, TOS, episode 3x19 00:25, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

That seems likely. I don't think the term "warlock" would be applied, as our page on warlock indicates that term is normally used synonymously with "wizard," and everybody listed on that page as having had the term applied them is male. ProfessorTofty 00:51, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
Not Harry Potter-only info speaking, there are people who mantain that the term "warlock" is not gender specific (just as there are countless references to male "witches") despite being primarily used to refer to a male. That being said, the female form of "Chief Warlock" could be, alternatively, "Chieftainess Warlock". Either way, this is not confirmed in any of the Harry Potter canon. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 01:11, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
