Types of cats[]
Whoever compiled this section seems to have got a bit confused; most "types" listed are non-breed-specific coat colours or patterns, but two are breeds, both of which can be a variety of colours. The list is:
- Black Cat — self explanatory
- Black And White Cat — self explanatory
- Calico Cat — a combination of the Tortoiseshell and the White colourings
- Ginger Cat — a cat with orange fur, usually also a tabby
- Ocicat — a domesticated cat breed which looks like a wild cat
- Siamese Cat — a cat breed of lithe build, with white/grey body and coloured extremities
- Tabby Cat — a cat whose coat is striped or spotted in two different colours
- Tortoiseshell Cat — a cat bearing two of the genes for black fur, for brown fur and for orange fur. Nearly always female.
- White Cat — self explanatory
I think that either this section should be separated into "Coat types" and "Breeds", or the two breeds should be removed. — evilquoll (talk) 18:29, April 26, 2018 (UTC)
