In the PS1 game of the Philosopher's Stone, Nick says "some snails have escaped from a Care of Magical Creatures class", not "classroom". Therefore, this article may well be erroneous. Although, given that the escaped snails are inside the castle, I guess it seems plausible that they came from an inside classroom? RedWizard98 (talk) 02:16, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

- Lots of good info for refs here, thanks everyone! The unclarity was as I said - that much of the article text was about HM, but there was no Appearance entry (or refs) as to whether this was a full Appearance, or a mention or what.
- HM depicts a location for the classroom so that's clear. PS1 game could be considered an indirect mention with a BTS note about the German version using the word classroom instead of just class , or the German version is a non-canon mention as the English version is just referencing the class, or all that could just be a BTS note. - I think that is a reasonable approach if everyone thinks that "class" was referring to "classroom". Another possibility is that the English version is referring to Care of Magical Creatures (class) and the German version is a mistranslation or just different reference to the classroom. A few different optione I think so probably best for future editors to have the rationale recorded here. Regardless, agreed about the rename / non-conjecture as HM made that clear. - The video in the English version does use the word "Classroom" so there is a clear reference to it. Also it is possible Kettleburn taught in a classroom, while Hagrid preferred to only teach near his Hut or in the field. - Is there a time stamp for where "classroom" is said in the English video? Not sure if I missed something farther in. Regardless, treating that first "class" as being short or indirect for the "classroom" works. Or putting the English ref on CMC (class) and the German one here also makes sense IMHO.
