date of birth
We don´t know for sure if Caractacus and Mr Borgin were the original founders, don´t we? Their ancestors may have been.--Rodolphus 17:13, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
- That's a true. Considering the shop was founded in the 1860's and Burke was running it in the 1920s their can't have been too large of a gap -- around fourty years -- so possibly a father of perhaps even a grandfather could have started it. --Parodist 11:29, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
- No, wait, Caractacus and Mr Borgin definately founded the shop. According to Dumbledore in HBP, Caractacus helped found the shop where the necklace that nearly killed Katie Bell was purchased. --Parodist 23:39, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Is there a quote (I'm replying to a seven year old post but hopefully it will be seen by someone)? I think someone living for 150+ years even in Harry Potter is bizarre. Maybe he had a father with the same name? Maybe Dumbledore was mistake? It would make more sense if a father founded the shop. Caractacus could also be one of the two sons of Belvina and Herbert Burke.
- I suggest we remove his birth dates until we get the quote. Xx-connor-xX (talk) 03:13, August 21, 2016 (UTC)
Is Caractacus deceased? It's implied on Herbert Burke's page, yet I didn't find any canon confirmation on him dying shortly after Dumbledore interviewd him, although Morfin Gaunt and Hokey did. User:Simen Johannes Fagerli
