I think that the title of the article is fine, and that the colony definately exists. --Freakatone 16:57, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Great Lake Merpeople second task

User:Yechezkelb once again swapped the infobox image without any discussion, though this time I quite agree with the reason behind it. I'd like to however take the chance to pitch perhaps using this image instead: file:Great Lake Merpeople second task.png; it's a variation of the current swapped image, but higher quality. I know it looks less visible when shrunken to infobox width, but I don't think it'd be that bright deep down in the great lake to begin with. I won't be upset if it's a "no", but I do prefer seeing a good quality image when I click to enlarge the infobox image. --Sammm✦✧(talk) 04:04, October 21, 2018 (UTC)

FYI, there is no need to have to discuss every change to infobox images. There are some major pages that have their image voted in (which are noted in the editing comments and which would require a vote to change), but in general, any infobox image can be changed as long as it is the most recent appearance and of sufficient quality and properly sourced. I know some people feel it is general good practice to discuss every infobox image change, but there is no policy in place to this effect - if there are disagreements they could be discussed after the fact. As such feel free to update to your suggested image. Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 04:31, October 21, 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for the correction, though now I'm actually thoroughly confused; I'm not sure if I've actually read it somewhere (there's too many policy pages that maybe my brain just made up something to convince myself I read "a rule" there), but I swear I've in fact considerably constantly been seeing Admins reverting infoboxes images due to "not having been discussed", perhaps it is due to this that I came to the wrong conclusion. Sorry if this sounds dense, but can I get a clearer guideline as to when swapping pictures needed to be discussed? Or is it one of those, until it offends someone, then there's the need to discuss? Like, until someone voices objections, assume there's none? Is this one of those assume in good fait thing? (I'm still working on it.) --Sammm✦✧(talk) 04:54, October 21, 2018 (UTC)
