Syna Hyslop was a witch who co-invented the Doubling Charm with her twin sister Helixa.[1]

Biography

Noted for their eccentricity, the twins preferred to keep to themselves, living alone together in a mansion their whole lives. After they died, their relatives found that their home contained duplicates of every item inside, down to the set of hand-written instructions for the Doubling Charm that each twin left on one of the matching tables in the kitchen.[1]

During the Calamity in the late 2010s or early 2020s, a Calamity Investigator working for the Statute of Secrecy Task Force studied the twins alongside a Ministry team, learning the intricacies of their Doubling Charm. This experience gave the investigator a deeper understanding of manifestation spell-casting, enabling their team to create the Trace Charm. The same Calamity Investigator later visited the twins' mansion, finding two old notes that, when paired together, helped clarify the very nature of the Doubling Charm, leading to the investigator being able to secure more ingredients when casting their Greenhouse Charm at wizarding greenhouses.[2]
