Sycamore (binomial name Acer pseudoplatanus) is a species of maple native to central Europe, southwestern Asia, east France, Ukraine, northern Spain, northern Turkey, and the Caucasus.^[1]

The sycamore makes a questing wand, eager for new experience and losing brilliance if engaged in mundane activities.
