Sybill Trelawney's second prophecy predicted Peter Pettigrew's escape and his return to his master, Lord Voldemort. This prophecy took place in 1994 during Harry Potter's Divination final exam. According to Harry, she went into a trance and a deep voice boomed out of her giving the following prophecy.
The Prophecy
- "It will happen tonight. The Dark Lord lies alone and friendless, abandoned by his followers. His servant has been chained these twelve years. Tonight, before midnight... the servant will break free and set out to rejoin his master. The Dark Lord will rise again with his servant's aid, greater and more terrible than ever he was. Tonight... before midnight... the servant... will set out... to rejoin... his master..."
Behind the scenes
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the prophecy went:
