Her first prediction

Professor Sybill Trelawney is a Seer and therefore has the Inner Eye. Her Seeing abilities have been useful on two occasions, once during the First Wizarding War and again in 1994.

Predictions

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... And the Dark Lord him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord is born as the seventh moth dies."

Her first prediction during the First Wizarding War was made a Prophecy by Albus Dumbledore. Voldemort had plans to take this prophecy which led to the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. Dumbledore shared the Prophecy with Harry Potter to whom it was made to. Severus Snape caught the first part of this Prophecy when he was eve's dropping during the interview of Sybill. He told Voldemort this and when he decided that he would go after Lily Evan's son he begged Dumbledore to protect them because he used to be friends with her.

"The Dark Lord lies alone and friendless, abandoned by his followers. His servant has been chained these twelve years. Tonight, before midnight... The servant will break free and join his master. The Dark Lord will rise again with his servant's aid, greater and more terrible than ever he was. Tonight... Before midnight... The servant... Will set out... To rejoin... His master..."

During Harry Potter's Divination final of 1994 Sybill made her second prediction that was fulfilled the next year after the third task of the Triwizard Tournament when Voldemort rose because of Petter Petigrew and Barty Crouch Jr.'s combined efforts. It was true that that night before midnight his servant Peter Petigrew escaped from the clutches of his old friends Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. Although he still had a life debt to Harry Potter which caused him to commit suicide at the Malfoy Manor.
