Steve Kloves is an accomplished screenwriter and is most renowned for his adaptations of novels, especially for the Harry Potter films. He has also directed two movies and will be directing a third (The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night Time) in the near future. Kloves was born on the 18 March 1960 and attended Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, California before moving into screenwriting. Steve worked with J. K. Rowling on the screenplays for the Harry Potter films, and J. K. Rowling has said that she told him more about the series than anyone else.

He has written the screenplay for The Amazing Spider Man with Alvin Sargent. He will also write the screenplay for the film adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand, which will be directed by David Yates.
