A sprout is a vegetable produced when a seed starts growing into a vegetable. They vary in texture and taste. They are a known flavour of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. Sprouts are sometimes part of regular meals at Hogwarts.^[1] Ron Weasley and Harry Potter were tasked with peeling sprouts when they returned to the Burrow in the Christmas holidays of 1996.
