Spaghetti Bolognese was a dish featuring spaghetti mixed with Bolognese sauce.[1] Originating in Bologna, Italy, this sauce featured ground meat (either beef or pork), tomato paste, and vegetables such as onion, carrot, and celery.[1]

In December 1997, while Harry and Hermione were hiding from Death Eaters and trying to track down Voldemort's Horcruxes, Hermione borrowed Harry's Invisibility Cloak and used it to sneak into a Muggle supermarket.[2] She took spaghetti Bolognese and tinned pears, secretly paying for both items by leaving money in an open till.[2] The two consumed these items for dinner on Christmas Eve, and, afterward, Harry decided to try to convince Hermione to visit Godric's Hollow, believing the "unusually good meal" they had just shared would increase his chance of success.[2]
