- "And everyone who read Sonnets of a Sorcerer spoke in limericks for the rest of their lives."
- — Ron Weasley regarding this book[src]
Sonnets of a Sorcerer was a wizarding poetry book.[2]
History[]
By 1932, Eulalie Hicks owned a copy of it.[1]
Sometime between 1 September 1986 and 31 August 1989, Talbott Winger was reading a copy of the book in the Hogwarts Library and thought it was quite good.[3]
Sometime before 1993, Arthur Weasley, while working for the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office, confiscated a cursed copy that would force anyone who read it to speak in limericks for the rest of their lives. In 1993, Ron Weasley mentioned this to Harry Potter when discussing the ways that a book could be dangerous.[2]
Another copy was found on Hermione Granger's bookshelves at the British Ministry of Magic in 2020.[4]
