A blizzard of soap that lead to an economic crash. |
- "...the 14th Century economic bubble burst following the Soap Blizzard of 1378... Harry, you startled me! But I won't deduct extra house points, just the usual 5 for interrupting."
- —Harry Potter interrupts Cuthbert Binns' lecture on this blizzard.[src]
The Soap Blizzard of 1378 was, presumably, a blizzard of soap that occurred sometime in 1378. This blizzard was followed by a burst of the wizarding economic bubble. Cuthbert Binns was giving a lecture on these events to a class during the 1991-1992 school year when he was accidentally interrupted by Harry Potter.
Behind the scenes
Edit
- The line of dialogue that mentions this strike was intended to be used in the Game Boy Colour version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as part of a mechanic where Harry would lose house points for interrupting classes. However, this is not possible in the final game, and thus this dialogue goes unused, though it still appears in the game's files.[1]
