Changes: Sirius Black's wand

Sirius Black's wand was of unknown length, wood, and core material. The wand was manufactured by Garrick Ollivander.

History

Like most wizards and witches in Great Britain, Sirius purchased his wand at the age of eleven at Ollivander's wand shop before beginning at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1971.

It can be assumed he wielded this wand throughout the First Wizarding War, while being a member of the Order of the Phoenix.

Sirius was also able to perform powerful magic with this wand, such as casting nonverbal spells. He also wielded this wand during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1995. The wand probably died with him as he held it when he fell to his death through the Veil in the Death Chamber .

Appearance

The wand appears to be medium brown color and has a twisting design throughout the length of the wand and at the base there seems to be engravings into the wood.

Behind the scenes

Considering Sirius's family history, his wand most likely featured a dragon heartstring core, by the looks of the wood it is either cypress or some pine wood, also when measured the wand is 10 1/4 inches
Some people believe the carving on the hilt is in fact Sirius's Azkaban serial number.
Sirius presumably lost his wand when he went to Azkaban. It is unknown how, or if, he retrieved it, because he could have had another one given to him after his escape. However, any member of the Order of the Phoenix who worked at the Ministry, such as Kingsley Shacklebolt, could have retrieved his original wand for him.
The wand has a distinctive handle, being square-like in shape. Symbols are etched upon it. Some of them look slightly similar to the ones tattooed on Sirius' body.
This wand bears a resemblance to Sybill Trelawney's wand, though there are slight differences.
Although it is unknown what happened to the wand after Sirius's death in the books, in the film adaption of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the wand appears to break when Bellatrix kills Sirius.
Just like Voldemort's wand, the Noble Collection makes Sirius's wand of a different colour than in the film adaptions, the wand has a light brown colour when it's shown in the film adaption of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and in the Noble Collection it has a dark grey colour.
