After Sirius Black was rescued by Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, he hid in an unidentifed tropical hideout. There, whenever he needed to communicate with Harry, he would send some tropical birds to 4 Privet Drive. The birds were said to barely fit through Harry's window. After Harry wrote to Sirius to tell him that his name ended up in the Goblet of Fire, Sirius settled down in a cave near Hogsmeade, where he could pick up newspapers as a stray dog, in his Animagus form.
