"Show Me the Way to Go Home" is a popular song written in 1925 by the pseudonymous "Irving King" (the English songwriting team James Campbell and Reginald Connelly).[1]
The shrunken heads on the front window of Noggin and Bonce, Knockturn Alley, like to sing this song.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- This song is a reference to the film version of Jaws, in which the characters Brody, Hooper and Quint sing it. The reference to Jaws is presumably because the Diagon Alley portion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter replaced the Jaws-themed ride formerly at Universal Studios Flordia.
